Cas(e) this sketch #44 : birthday

For this awesome sketch for this challenge I used PTI stamp sets Autumn Pattern Pieces for the pattern on the white cardstock. And for the sentiment I used Movers and Shakers sentiments. I stamped the background image with versamark then brushed micro pearl powder over it. It has a wonderful sheen to it. For the scalloped portion I cut a large scalloped circle I had from SU to fit the area. Added a PTI Hawaiian shores strip and added that to the scalloped portion. Stamped my sentiment in PTI Smokey shaddow ink. Wanted some sparkle so decided to glue some silver sequins and a Martha Stewart butterfly sticker to the scalloped panel. Thanks for looking.

Freshly made sketches #103 : stitched hearts

For this sketch challenge I pulled out a stamp set from PTI that I love but for some reason rarely use called Quilters Sampler. I love coloring in the quilting squares. For this card I punched out two hearts and stamped the quilting squares on it and colored with prismacolor pencils. I adhered them on a white cardstock panel and added strip of PTI lemon tart polka dot paper. I rounded the end corners. I adhered that panel to a PTI Hawaiian Shores panel that I quilted using the scor pal. I hand stitched the buttons and Hawaiian shores panel with embroidery floss. I just love the sentiment. Thanks for looking.

This is my first time participating in a colourQ challenge. I was inspired by the bright yellow flowers on the greenish blue contrasting background. I embossed the leaves image from PTI Beautiful Blooms in white on white cardstock. I then used PTI Hawaiian Shores ink pad and outlined the leaves in the ink using a SU blender pen, I then took a sponge and sponged the rest of the card front. I added just a little PTI Harvest Gold ink with a sponge to give the background some dimension. I stamped the flowers using PTI Delightful Dahlia Additions using Palette ink in Moulin Rouge and PTI Harvest Gold. I cut them out and adhered with pop up foam dots. Added sentiment using SU Perfect Plum (closest I had to Rich Razzleberry) and added purple ribbon. To add some dimension to flowers I adhered some gemstones to the center of the dahlias.

Make it Monday #131: striped embossing

For this challenge we needed to use striped embossing powder. I don't have many colors so used red and black only. I stamped the mums from PTI Mum's the word on the black cardstock with versamark and heat embossed white and red embossing powders. I stamped the thank you sentiment from PTI Basket of blessings set on vellum cardstock and did the striped embossing technique. I sewed the edge with red embroidery floss.

Dynamic Duo #69: pacific point and old olive argyle

For this awesome color challenge I used PTI Autumn Pattern Pieces and On The Links. These colors are two of my favorite. Matter of fact my coach purse is color blocked in this blue and olive green. I adore it.
I love how the argyle pattern turned out.  Since it was such a bold design I chose a simple card design. My husband thought it was cool so I guess that counts for something. Ha ha. Thanks for visiting.

Peppers favorite time of day

My sun lounger. The kids so conveniently left a fluffy blanket for our pig in her favorite afternoon spot. Such a cutie. I snapped this picture while I was jogging around her during a workout. Don't move on my account.

Clean pen

Pepper loves making a mess with her litter. Pine shavings everywhere. This is clean. When I wake up in 5 hours I am sure it will be a mess again.

Stamp-a-faire 2013: Sprinkle of Salt

Used the elmers glue with salt and re-inkers method. Info for this challenge can be seen on Nichols Heady's blog for Papertrey Ink. The effect the salt gives on this stamp set reminds me of when I was little I would use colored dried pasta or beans to decorate pictures. Love it, gives it texture and and earthy feeling such I think is perfect for  a Thanksgiving card. I used PTI Basket of Blessings stamp set.

So this is the end of Stamp-a-faire projects. I had to work the day of the challenge so I am adding these a little late to the game. Didn't get all the cards done but here is a picture of the ones I did get done.

Stamp-a-faire 2013: Whipping up Scent-sational cards

For this challenge we had to make scented embossing powder. I mixed clear embossing powder with pumpkin pie spice. I stamped the pumpkin in SU pumpkin Pie ink and then restamped with versamark and embossed with my pumpkin pie scented powder. Stamp sets are all PTI, Spooky Treats, Mat stack 4 and Mums the word (for the leaves).

My creation for third challenge card. Used the rainbow dies in each color for the challenge. Added a cute paper cut dragonfly and a fun sentiment. Lived how it turned out. Here is the challenge.

August 2013 Papertrey Ink Blog Hop challenge

I tried my hand at the first challenge set. I saw a flower on the paperytrey website the was featured on a card in the ribbon section of the site. I searched every release sneak peek and preview on Nichols Heady's blog to find put how she did it. I found I tried to recreate that flower on my card using the two dies she used. The leaf vine die and flower fusion #4. I wanted a two tone flower so used melon berry and red poppy with spring moss leaves. I used a stamp in the new autumn pattern pieces to make the lines using melon berry , spring miss, lemon tart. Added a sentiment from stamp set  shapes by design to a kraft paper paper with ribbon notch.

Here is the challenge and link

August 2013 Paperyrey Ink Blog Hop Challenge

I die cut the leaves out of simply chartreuse and stamped in same color. The base of the card is Stampin up Lovely Lilac (replacement for plum pudding). Added a birthday sentiment from mums the Word in SU night of navy (replacement for royal velvet) stamped on white cardstock and notched the end. Seize the sketch #2

Used Papertey Ink Men of Life stamp set and patterned paper. I don't make many masculine cards but think this could be used for little boy too.
