Pepper the Snuggle bug

Pepper must have been in a snuggling mood. She crawled up the back of my shirt and is sticking her head out the top. Crazy pet pig.

Mojo Monday #310: party animal

For this sketch challenge I decided to make a 1st birthday card for my friend's son. I used PTI horizontal chevron cover die to create the black and white background. I used Its a Jungle out there set for the zebra and sentiments. I then made a party hat using a banner flag from Its a Celebration set.  Hand detailed the fringe for the top of the hat with a sharpie and added some red sequins. Paper colors are PTI pure poppy and Hawaiian shores. Love how it turned out.

Cas(e) this sketch #44 : birthday

For this awesome sketch for this challenge I used PTI stamp sets Autumn Pattern Pieces for the pattern on the white cardstock. And for the sentiment I used Movers and Shakers sentiments. I stamped the background image with versamark then brushed micro pearl powder over it. It has a wonderful sheen to it. For the scalloped portion I cut a large scalloped circle I had from SU to fit the area. Added a PTI Hawaiian shores strip and added that to the scalloped portion. Stamped my sentiment in PTI Smokey shaddow ink. Wanted some sparkle so decided to glue some silver sequins and a Martha Stewart butterfly sticker to the scalloped panel. Thanks for looking.

Freshly made sketches #103 : stitched hearts

For this sketch challenge I pulled out a stamp set from PTI that I love but for some reason rarely use called Quilters Sampler. I love coloring in the quilting squares. For this card I punched out two hearts and stamped the quilting squares on it and colored with prismacolor pencils. I adhered them on a white cardstock panel and added strip of PTI lemon tart polka dot paper. I rounded the end corners. I adhered that panel to a PTI Hawaiian Shores panel that I quilted using the scor pal. I hand stitched the buttons and Hawaiian shores panel with embroidery floss. I just love the sentiment. Thanks for looking.

ColourQ#206

This is my first time participating in a colourQ challenge. I was inspired by the bright yellow flowers on the greenish blue contrasting background. I embossed the leaves image from PTI Beautiful Blooms in white on white cardstock. I then used PTI Hawaiian Shores ink pad and outlined the leaves in the ink using a SU blender pen, I then took a sponge and sponged the rest of the card front. I added just a little PTI Harvest Gold ink with a sponge to give the background some dimension. I stamped the flowers using PTI Delightful Dahlia Additions using Palette ink in Moulin Rouge and PTI Harvest Gold. I cut them out and adhered with pop up foam dots. Added sentiment using SU Perfect Plum (closest I had to Rich Razzleberry) and added purple ribbon. To add some dimension to flowers I adhered some gemstones to the center of the dahlias.

Make it Monday #131: striped embossing

For this challenge we needed to use striped embossing powder. I don't have many colors so used red and black only. I stamped the mums from PTI Mum's the word on the black cardstock with versamark and heat embossed white and red embossing powders. I stamped the thank you sentiment from PTI Basket of blessings set on vellum cardstock and did the striped embossing technique. I sewed the edge with red embroidery floss.

Dynamic Duo #69: pacific point and old olive argyle

For this awesome color challenge I used PTI Autumn Pattern Pieces and On The Links. These colors are two of my favorite. Matter of fact my coach purse is color blocked in this blue and olive green. I adore it.
I love how the argyle pattern turned out.  Since it was such a bold design I chose a simple card design. My husband thought it was cool so I guess that counts for something. Ha ha. Thanks for visiting.

Mojo Monday 309: love

I Love this PTI Sending my Love set. Thought I would play around with some patterned paper for this challenge. The sketch was a lot of fun.

Retro Sketches #80: leaf flowers

For this week's Retro Sketches challenge I used PTI Mighty Oak leaves and sentiment from PTI Mailbox Greetings. I love these colors together for a fall themed card. I stuck pretty closely to the sketch.

Freshly made sketches 102: thanksgiving

Made this card for the freshly made sketches challenge. I used PTI Autumn Pattern Pieces and Basket of Blessings sets. The basket of flowers is so fun to color. I used my scor pal to put a quilted pattern on the melon berry cardstock. Stamped the sentiment on vellum and adhered with silver twine and a button.

FM 126 : Washi, Washi, Washi

This was for the Friday Mashup challenge to use washi tape and make set of 3x3 cards. I was again used PTI Bubble Talk set and dies and used PTI Everyday Button Bits for my little button bird.

Seize the sketch #3: bubble talk fun

For this sketch challenge I decided to use my new favorite stamp set from PTI: Bubble talk. I also used the thank you sentiment from PTI Around and About sentiments set. I love how many options this set has with those arrows and tiny hearts. I can't get enough. Used some bright colors to make it fun and playful.

Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger: Ombre Mighty Oak

For Tuesday Trigger I was inspired by the colors and ombre shades. I used three different purples to create an ombre effect with the leaves of PTI Mighty Oak stamp set. Added some silver twine and white button to add some detail. Click on picture to follow link to the Tuesday Trigger challenge.
