SAF 2014: Regency Era , Vintage embossing

This style of card is way out of my comfort zone. I love embellishing , so it really shouldn't be. This challenge was to use a vintage embossing technique. I gold embossed vellum and then sponged Dark Chocolate ink over it to make it look vintage. I then stamped my sentiment in brown and layered vellum tag with stars cut out (notched star banner die) over the Blue and cream striped pattern paper. Added a fun (messy) bow to add to the romantic feel. Enjoy!

ColourQ#206

This is my first time participating in a colourQ challenge. I was inspired by the bright yellow flowers on the greenish blue contrasting background. I embossed the leaves image from PTI Beautiful Blooms in white on white cardstock. I then used PTI Hawaiian Shores ink pad and outlined the leaves in the ink using a SU blender pen, I then took a sponge and sponged the rest of the card front. I added just a little PTI Harvest Gold ink with a sponge to give the background some dimension. I stamped the flowers using PTI Delightful Dahlia Additions using Palette ink in Moulin Rouge and PTI Harvest Gold. I cut them out and adhered with pop up foam dots. Added sentiment using SU Perfect Plum (closest I had to Rich Razzleberry) and added purple ribbon. To add some dimension to flowers I adhered some gemstones to the center of the dahlias.

Make it Monday #131: striped embossing

For this challenge we needed to use striped embossing powder. I don't have many colors so used red and black only. I stamped the mums from PTI Mum's the word on the black cardstock with versamark and heat embossed white and red embossing powders. I stamped the thank you sentiment from PTI Basket of blessings set on vellum cardstock and did the striped embossing technique. I sewed the edge with red embroidery floss.
